Cheri (Wheeler) Guy

Wow, Not really sure how to even start..... I will try to be brief. I did alot of stuff for a while.... sound familiar?

Really, I came to Albuquerque and tried a few things in college but just wasn't sure what I wanted to do, couldn't find anything that truly interested me. So, I took lots of classes, worked lots of jobs, one of which was coaching drill and cheer for elementary and middle school. That I really enjoyed!!!

In 1991 I met my husband (you could probably get that story out of me if you tried) Matt guy. We were actually "just friends" for a while. in 1993 I was moving back to Los Alamos and he to Amarillo so we decided to be a couple. Yeah I know we are strange! I flew to see him every month and he eventually came back. In 1994 we got engaged at a Metallica concert and we married in 1995.

We got Matt through school with his degree in advertising art and he has worked for the military since 1998 as a graphic artist. He is actually a contractor but soon to be a GS. During this time I spent some time working at an air ambulance which I loved and found my passion. The medical field. I went on to work as a Certified nursing assistant (yes in a nursing home but then in home care.) but the pay was not good and the company Matt worked for went out of business and he was still in school. I ended up working in the office for the home care and did on call at night. Two pay checks that worked. When Matt graduated I decided to go to nursing school and was about half way done when 30 was quickly approaching. (oh yeah when we got married I told Matt he had 5 years then I wanted kids) So we started working on that> My daughter, Logan Michele, was born March of 2001. Wow!!! that's all I will say. We all who have kids have that reaction. She is something special. But, she had a medium sized vsd and I would not put her in day care. So I found a job that worked with keeping her with me. I became a realtor. That was awesome since I could work from home, or bring her. I swear the kid sells houses for me! She has healed her heart on her own, but the first year was scary we thought she would need surgery. That kid is tough! So life remained the same for quite while till Matt finally conceded and said " Well I guess if were going to have another kid we better get started" (I told him I wanted 2 and had to be done by 35). Connor Max was born March of 2005, two months before I was 35. Barely got that one in. He looked just like his sister at birth and it kinda freaked me out. He is a terror and an incredible snuggler. He is obsessed with the alphabet and numbers. He wants to be just like his big sister and they get along incredibly well, most of the time.

Meanwhile, school is still on hold at least until Connor starts school himself. I can't give up the time with the kids. I spend alot of time volunteering at Logan's school. taking her to ballet, soccer, and now Horse riding lessons. Swimming for both kids. I take ballet myself and sometimes I'll throw in another class. Real Estate is really slow right now so for about a year I have been managing at Hastings at night as well as Real Estate by day. (Coors and Montano for anyone who lives here in Albuquerque.) I see Adam Buckner there sometimes and Geoff Mcgirt. If your in the area, stop in and say hi.

I am really looking forward to the reunion. Thanks to everyone who has made this happen. We really appreciate all of your hard work.
