Thanks to everyone who has helped put this website together.
And thank you to those whe have posted their bios, I've enjoyed reading them very much.
It's hard to know where to begin- so much has happened since high school and graduation. Recalling it all is too fun but sometimes painful, frustrating and embarrassing, but nonetheless growth oriented.
Currently I live in Northern California- a place I never thought I would ever end up living in. I have a partner and a daughter who mean a tremendous amount to me. I do graphic art work and web design, interior base painting and murals when I'm lucky.
I've been vegan for almost 15 years. I feel that I'm in the best physical shape of my life. I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and aside from the birth of and being present with my daughter everyday, the next most greatest personal accomplishment I've acheived was winning the World Championships last year in the sport I am most passionate about.
In my division there were 16 competitors. I beat an opponent who took 2nd in the European Championships and, more notably, faced a wrestler with 21 years experience, 4 of which were spent at Iowa State under the tutelage of Dan Gable and who had tried out for the Olympics but didn't make the cut. He had just won the Pan Ams a few months prior and later won the World No-Gi Championships. I had a year of training and this was my first tournament and I dominated him in the finals and nearly submitted him with a triangle choke.
At that tournament, one of my brothers who I hadn't seen in over eight years was there for every match plus about a handful of the guys I train with and their families who all erupted with cheering and whistling and hugs when I won. It was awesome! It didn't sink in though until our head instructor, who is a world champion himself, addressed me as such. Then I was like, "oh yeah".
I'm currently training for next years Worlds.
I'm not afraid to say that I did in fact watch The Secret to help me prepare for this tournament. Don't laugh, that shit works.
As for everything else in between I don't even know where to begin... Lets see..
1990... uh.
1993... dad passed on... bummer.
1996... hmm, well...
1998... ooh, I hitchhiked alot!
Or, I could do it like this...
1990... year of the dumbass (me)
1993... year of the dad passing on (bummer)
1996... year of the psycho relationship(s) and year of the dumbass (me) -Combo Year
1998... year I wish I would've took the bus!
....something like that...
Little wheels spin, big wheel turns around.
My heart goes out to Michelle and Tony's family.
And finally- Someone puh-leeze remove that stupid-ass picture of Rob, me, etc. That is so horrendous. I will pay you.

My daughter took this one... I seem to have a lot of this kind too.

I'm the luckiest guy...
