Hi Everyone!

Wow, where has the time gone?

After high school I had two options, go to college or get a job. Since I had just spent all those years getting out of school, I really couldn't stand the thought of going again, so I got a job in broadcasting!

I was on the air in for a number of years in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe markets. After 6 years of broadcasting, taking classes at TVI and UNM, and other non fulfilling positions I decided it was time for a change.

That's when I decided to move to California to make it "big". And I did…sort of. After some time in the central California radio market meeting, hanging out and partying with a whole lot of interesting people from top radio, record and movie executives to musicians such as Sammy Hagar, Third Eye Blind, Bo Diddley, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul (yes she is crazy) Jennifer Lopez, Smashmouth, Snoop Dogg (really a nice guy) and a whole slew of others, I was offered an on air position in the Los Angeles market…which I turned down. Apparently just the satisfaction of knowing that I could be an on air personality in the number 2 market in the country was enough. Once again I decided it was time for a change…So I moved back to NM.

I moved back to Albuquerque in 2000. After spending some time doing tech work for AOL, T-Mobile and going back to school, I moved over to the Air Force Research Laboratory. I'm now a Program Analyst for a transportation research group at UNM and working as an "extra" and bit parts in some movie and TV shows that are in production here in NM. I have a great girlfriend that I've been dating for the past 7yrs, whose very understanding…she must be, she's still lets me play rugby and hang out occasionally with Ted and Rob! The last 20 years is what it is…lots of ups and some downs, friends passing, friends growing and moving on and friendships renewed and lost. I've been very fortunate to still be in touch with Ted and his awesome wife Monica and their great kids which I absolutely adore as well as Rob Hertrich and his family, Steve Armijo and others!

We hope to make the reunion, if not, feel free to write anytime…freddie.delacruz@gmail.com

Cheers
