Jeff Dare

As usual, I have procrastinated until the last minute to get something done, so this will be a very condensed version of the last 20 years.  Besides, there are some years in there that are best not discussed in a public forum.  It’s not that hard for me to believe that it has been 20 years since we graduated from high school.  What is hard for me to believe, is that I own a mini van - but I will get to that in a minute.

After graduating from college I ended up back in Los Alamos.  I never planned on coming back, but I got a job at the Lab (currently in the Emergency Response Group) and have been here ever since.

The biggest accomplishment for me since high school is my family.  It took me 34 years to get married, but it was well worth the wait.  I met my wife Julie on a blind date in the Fall of 2002.   It wasn’t long before it was obvious we were meant to be and we got married in May of 2004.  In June of 2005 our son Logan was born.  Our Daughter Lianna followed in January of 2007.  After Lianna was born, I caved and we bought the mini van.  It’s not sporty, but very functional.  It will do for now, until I can get my mid-life crisis car in a few years.

Logan and Lianna are the light of our lives.  They are both very sweet (most of the time) and very adventurous.  They are most happy being outside and doing anything that gets them dirty.  It’s not always easy keeping up with them, but I can’t imagine life any other way.

I hope to see all of you at the reunion.
