Josie (Melvin) Dvorken

I’m a photographer…not a writer.

1988… Went to the University of Hartford on a volleyball scholarship.
1989… Met and fell in love with Greg Dvorken. (Lacrosse Beast)
1990… The stick was blue. Greg and I married in Santa Fe.
1991… Katrina May Dvorken was born at Los Alamos Medical Center.
1992… Lived in the Chapel Apartments. Greg worked with the Security Force at LANL
1993… Moved to Albuquerque. Went to UNM and finished my degree in Photography
1994… Jakob Oakes Dvorken was born. Very cute!
1995… Moved to San Diego.
1996… Started a little portrait business.
1997… Greg started working at Sony Electronics.
1998… Bought our first house in Temecula California
1999… Greg got promoted. We moved to Ridgewood, New Jersey.
2000… Gretel the loud, fluffy apricot poodle with 50 nick names was born
2001… Twin Towers attacked…I will never forget.
2002… Bought an old lumpy Victorian house with a wrap around porch
2003… Katrina had her Batmitzvah. Woooo Hoooo!
2004… Had my appendix removed. (I was a big baby!)
2005… Misplaced my favorite copper necklace…I’m still hopeful.
2006… Took pictures of Vanessa Williams and Eartha Kitt (Meow!!)
2007… Jakob had his Barmitzvah. Wheee!!!
2008… Katrina passed her driving test. AWESOME!!!

I am hoping to be at the reunion.
We will see.
