All right, here goes.....

Wound up at The University of Texas at Austin (good school and they let me in...). Finished my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with summers back in Los Alamos working at the lab. As I was finishing up undergrad my two options were working for one of several oil companies in Houston or graduate school. No choice there, stayed in Austin working on my Masters.

In 1994 during my first year in grad school I married Jennifer Joy. We're still going strong after 14 years. Matt, Tom and Paul probably remember the car we drove away from the wedding. After 14 years we have finally finished restoring our 1967 Volvo.

As I was wrapping up grad school I starting looking for a job... A fellow Volvo collector in Austin mentioned that his company was looking for an ME. I have been working in the high-tech/computer world since except for a brief "gainfully unemployed" stint at a kayak shop in 2002-3. I am currently working for Sun Microsystems in Austin. My job sends me to Taiwan and China several times a year. During several trips to Taiwan I have been able to visit Abbie Kirkpatrick who is living on the East coast of Taiwan teaching English.

Outside of Sun, I run a very small business teaching kayaking (www.lunaseakayaks.com). Jen and I also mountain bike and enjoy camping in our mostly restored 1971 Airstream.
